What: Develop and lead the institutional knowledge transfer (KTT) and co-production strategy of ICTA-UAB and its intellectual property policy; Analyse the needs of the public and private sectors at different levels (Barcelona; Catalonia; Spain; Europe; Key non-EU partner countries, cities or regions) related to ICTA-UAB’s research lines and develop and promote a catalogue of the services offered by the Institute; Identify transferable research results and protect them if necessary, bearing in mind its utility, application, and economic or commercial valorization; Explore national and international calls for funding to support knowledge transfer projects; Establish alliances with private companies in order to develop transfer of certain tools, products and/or services; Organize and teach a course on knowledge transfer and co-production for ICTA-UAB’s community, in liaison with ICTA-UAB’s communication team; Design and promote workshops and seminars to elevate the level of knowledge transfer awareness in the Institute and its importance to enhance research impact; Work together with ICTA-UAB researchers and technicians to identify, organise and implement flagship knowledge transfer activities and projects (at least one per research group and MdM Programme theme); Provide general support and guidance to ICTA-UAB researchers in how to enhance the impact of their research beyond academia, contemplating a broad portfolio of knowledge transfer activities suited to each individual and research group; Establish contact with other knowledge transfer specialists at UAB to identify synergies and explore ways to overcome any challenges that arise in knowledge transfer activities.
